This is a tree health care workshop designed for arborists and landscape technicians. Learn the diagnostic process, tree assessment and how to submit a sample to the CSU Plant Diagnostic Clinic as well as common tree problems and insects. Hear the latest information from the Colorado Dept. of Agriculture on EAB and Japanese Beetle. The workshop is a full day of presentations on Thursday, Aug. 9th and a half-day of CSU Campus walk-about practicing tree assessment and tree problem identification on Friday, Aug. 10th (9-noon). Specific information (where to park, meet, etc.) for the Friday tour will be provided on Thursday during the presentations.
Pay for parking is available in the parking lot north of the Lory Student Center. Other options include taking the MAX bus to the CSU campus (University station) utilizing the parking lots for MAX at either the South Transit Center just south of College and Harmony or the parking lot by the old K-Mart building at College and Drake. There is a fee for the MAX, but not as much as paying for parking at CSU. Be aware that parking in the neighborhoods surrounding CSU is mostly restricted to 2 hour or permit parking.
There are ISA CEU's available for both days of the workshop. There will be a sign-up sheet at the event.
Registration deadline is Friday, August 3, 2018.
